This module is designed to equip you with an appreciation of the patient experience whilst also developing your clinical skills and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice in relation to systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT).
The assessment components are designed to provide you with the opportunity to critically reflect on your own learning journey, and demonstrate competencies required in the safe delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments through completion of the SACT Passport and a clinical scenario-based online exam.
This academic module is aimed at Registered Nurses working in a service that delivers Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) who are required to administer SACT as part of their role. There are theory and practice components to the course and the practice components are flexible depending on the level of SACT administration experience.
Those with appropriate background qualifications to study at degree level 6.
This module can be taken as a CPD, or as a ‘step-up’ approach to continuing with further modules at master’s level as part of the MSc Cancer Care programme pathway.
